A joyful, humour-filled river scene by beloved British artist Sam Toft. Woofing Along on the River follows the irrepressible Mr. Mustard and Doris as they sail along a calm pale blue river aboard a long bright red boat, accompanied by their wonderful pack of dogs. Mr. Mustard stands at the front, punting with a long pole in his trademark long dark coat and striped stockings, hat slightly askew and one arm raised dramatically — every inch the enthusiastic captain. Their crew of devoted dogs fills the boat from bow to stern: a proud Dalmatian with nose raised to the breeze, two snuggled Pugs in the middle, a lazily reclining Beagle or Spaniel, and a tiny white dog at the very back taking it all in. Rolling dark hills stretch across the horizon beneath a soft green-grey sky. Written in Toft's flowing handwritten script along the bottom: "Woofing Along on the River."
