Deep in the forests of Brittany, the ancient stones are still there. Philip Plisson’s Pierres Celtes — Celtic Stones — is a triptych: three views of the same primordial landscape, where massive moss-covered granite boulders lie half-buried in autumn leaf litter, gnarled tree roots gripping their surfaces as if holding them in place. A stream runs through the left panel. The light is soft and diffuse, filtered through bare branches. The whole scene feels older than memory.
This is almost certainly Huelgoat Forest — the legendary boulder chaos of Finistère, Brittany, where Celtic mythology and geological wonder overlap. Plisson, best known for his marine photography, turns here to the land, and finds the same quality of ancient, elemental presence he captures at sea.
The triptych format gives the image its breadth — three separate moments in the same forest, united by light and atmosphere into a single, immersive panorama.

International Shipping
